Martindale Woodcrafts came into being with the acquisition of the Havelock Holme Wood Company. We have relocated all the woodworking machinery from Bedford in the Eastern Cape of South Africa to the small farming community of Martindale - also in the Eastern Cape. We felt that we could not go on using the original name since that is the name of the farm from which the company operated. We are now operating from Martindale Farm. Most products remain the same, though we have made a few changes and a few additions to the range of products. We would like to assure all old customers that the fine quality of our products will not alter.

All of our products are made by hand and so no two items are identical. The lamps and candleholders are all lathe turned. The glass used in our candle holders is all recycled and is sourced in KwaZulu-Natal. Our products are mostly made up of kiln dried pine, which we presently source in Stutterheim. The final finished product is stained and treated to suit the customer's wishes. We do not normally carry a great deal of stock, and our products are all made to order. We carry a small stock of Yellowwood, American Sycamore and Oregon Pine, which we occasionally use for special orders. If you have a supply of a specific timber that you wish to be used for a special "once off" order, we will be happy to consider it.
